What is boutique training?
In Nepal, boutique training usually means hands-on training in measuring, cutting, and stitching clothes, so you can work in a boutique or tailoring shop, or start your own.
Can I learn tailoring in 2 months?
You can pick up the basics of sewing in a couple of months, but stitching garments neatly and confidently takes regular practice over a longer period. That is why our shortest course, the 3 Month Fashion Designer Course, runs for three months with classes every day. It is designed for beginners and covers sewing and machine operation.
What will I learn in the 3-month course?
The course focuses on sewing techniques, cutting, and stitching. Students practise making garments such as:
- Kurtha and salawar
- Blouse and sari
- Skirt, top, and frock
- Shirt
How much does a tailoring course cost in Kathmandu?
Costs vary by training center and course length. At Central Fashion Academy:
- The 3 Month course costs Rs 25,000.
- The 6 Month course costs Rs 50,000, payable in two installments of Rs 25,000.

Do I need any experience?
No. The 3 Month course is designed for beginners with a passion for fashion and design. If you can already sew, you can go straight to the 6 Month course or the one-month Bag Making Course.
When are the classes?
Classes run every day for 2 hours, so you can choose the slot that fits your day: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM.
What comes after the basics?
- The 6 Month course goes deeper into sewing, cutting, and stitching.
- The 1 Year Fashion Designer Diploma is our most complete program.
- The Bag Making Course (30 days, Rs 10,000) is for students who already have basic sewing skills.
